Putting a portastudio back together and having screws leftover!!!!!!

That's why digital cameras come in VERY handy.:D

I get a bit absurd when I disassemble something. I take pictures along the way so that I know what came off at what point, and vaguely where it goes.:p:drunk:

Good point. I do the same thing.

parts

Well, if each time you take it apart and put it back together you have extra parts, just do it over and over until you have enough parts to build another one.

You made it more efficient! "Tascam did it with twelve screws, but I did it with eight!" You now have a "modded" Portastudio! ;)

Ha!

Happens to me all the time. When I'm taking apart something that I've never taken apart before, I actually print out the service manual (if it's available) and use scotch tape to tape the screws on to the diagrams of where they go, on each page. Pain in the ass, but it's saved my ass many times too.

Yeah, it's always so obvious and logical when you're undoing things.
"Oh I'll remember where that goes.."
