OK, this is the same song that I posted yesterday, but now it has a new mix. Thanks for all of the suggestions. I tried opening the drums up and giving everything more "air". Please let me know what you think. I overwrote the old file, so this mix is in the exact same location:

edit: I just signed up for nowhere radio

Oh yeah, the name of the band is Omnisoul, for anybody who is wondering. :) So... Any thoughts on this mix?

It's much better, Chibi Nappa! The snare is still a bit weird though. Guess you can't get it any snappier (or my taste is different ;) ).

But the rest is fine... :D

And I'm beginning to like the song! Reminds me of Dave Matthews....

Hmmm.... I mic'd the underside of the snare, but left that track out of this mix (and the last one). maybe that is what it needs. Thanks! :)

WOOOEEEEE!

I LOVE the style!
The musicianship is really fine. The drummer seemed to jumble a few snare rolls on the exit solo.
The snare is borderline needing a little sizzle. If you add too much it will start competing with the vocal.
All in all it floats my boat!

dang i wish my recordings sounded this good, sounds great and i think the thing with the snare will be ok because if you add to much more snap it will compete with the vox as was said above. i wouldnt change i thing package it spank it and send it out screaming into the world. flash

Now I'm on nowhere radio for anybody who prefers streaming. See the edited 1st post in this thread.

I was expecting some kind of heavy metal...

Right off the top, great job tracking and great musicianship all around. Vocals are good but a little set back to my ears.

There's some heavy reverb on a ride symbol that kind of eats the mix here and there.

Whoah.
You guys should be making some cake too..
I hope your going to sell this.

Theres parts of the vocals that I dont care for and and theres parts that I LOVE.

I dont have anything technical to add because this is far better than anything I could come up with.

This is really good! Great songwriting. Great arrangement. Great playing.

The piano sound is a little dull - don't know how you could make it a little lively because I've never worked with piano.

Maybe a little too much acoustic. And could use a little more bass.

But these comments are just nit-picking. Very ambitious stuff and you pulled it off.

Thanks. Yeah, the hope is that everything is going to come out well enough to master, press, and sell. We've got about 14 songs in various stages of compleation right now. I'm sure more of them will find thier way onto this board in the not too distant future for mixing advise. :)
