I'm working with a Digi001 setup, and the 2 XLR pre-amp'd in's and 6 1/4" in's worked great for 'til now.
Now I need to to scale my setup with more pre-amp'd in's.
From about a month of research, the best pre-amp'd setup (for the $$) I could find is the PreSonus DigiMax LT (~$799)
That would give me 8 more XLR pre-amp'd in's.
The best aspect of the DigiMax is the 24-bit ADAT lightpipe output, which interfaces perfectly with the Digi001.
Now for the question:
WHAT OTHER OPTIONS DO I HAVE?
-If I pick up the DigiMax, I've now spent $800 on the Digi001, and $800 on the DigiMax, giving me 10 XLR in's and 6 1/4" in's (plus the numerous outs on each).
-What about a digital mixer? Can I connect a digital mixer to the Digi001 through the SPDIF I/O or ADAT lightpipe? Are there any other multitrack pre-amped interfaces I should look into?
Generous Thanks and Appreciations from a guy trying to get started at home.
(If you're interested in hearing the flith I've released out thus far, check out: http://www.halfmusic.com Any comments/suggests are welcome)
