with the several mixer pop-ups in my system, including the ones that came with the SBLIVE! bundle, i cannot figure out the signal path.
my big problem is when i burn cd's (plextor12/10/32A) of my band, the levels on the cd are really low, even though i put the tunes on the hdd recorded them as wave files carefully avoiding clipping using wavelab lite.
anyone advise me as to the sequence and parameters to use to 'normalise' and 'increase level'.
it seems the only way to increase the level on a burned CD is to make the wave file hotter.
but it is easy to overdo it and create distortion in the file which is apparent when reviewing the file in wavelab lite.
is there a way to increase the number of 'undo's' in wavelab lite?
is there a better wave editor out there for creating band demos?
fidelity is not an issue, really, the tunes sound pretty good, and that's lucky for me because i am not capable of multitracking or remixing multitrack files at my current 'skill level' or sound card.
