1) my sb live cost me $400 in australia. I thought it was a good music card. what is also this talk about then?

2) Using enviroment audio how can i create a realistic harmony?

3) Any Sb Live tips?

4) making hip-hop drum patterns tips please?

5) Vocal in enhancemet suggestions please?

1. It's a reasonably OK music card... I think it's great as a budget synth and sampler, and has a useable MIDI interface if your needs are basic... its audio recording abilities are certainly not as good as the higher-end cards, but certainly more than passable for demo work.

2. Environmental Audio are effects. I don't think you can create harmonies with them, just make your stuff sound like it's in a cave or a garage or a forest or whatever.

3. Probably lots. Try

for a start.

4. More pointers to websites: try http://www.members.tripod.com/~TroyWoodfield/looptech.html

and look at some of the other articles listed there:

5. Vocal enhancement? Do you mean effects -- reverb, delay, compression? Or do you mean vocoding and pitch correction and that sort of manipulation?
