SB live and Sonar

Ive been going over the posts and doing some reading on the subject of SB live and sonar , and it seems that this is a workable
setup ,as long as i use the win200 wdm drivers. let me explain my status and goals.

New to home recording , i have purchased the omni studio
delta 66 setup , and am considering getting sonar 2 as my
software . My main concern is that i have the delta 66 and the
Sb live on the same platform and want to utilize Sonar , yet my Sb live is still important to me on the gaming factor of my pc (sorry cant give up my PC games ...) So i feel compelled to ask the questions now as to avoid any disapointment of compatibility problems later.

I assume you will be using the Delta card for all your audio. In that case, there is no problem in keeping the SB Live for midi (or games). Just disable the SB from the audio section of Sonar.

Lots of people are doing exactly the same thing.

Makkon,

I have exactly the same sound card set up as you and I have had no problem with running the two cards together. I have kept the s/b card in the file list of ins/outs in Sonar because I use the s/b Live for midi work and with soundfonts.
