Hi all,
I have used Audition 1.5 for several years for simple projects, e.g., (1) editing and tracking off-the-air recordings from a hard-drive recorder to CD's and (2) making "compilation CD's" for several purposes. To do so, I have used only the Edit View and CD Project View. In CD Project View, I typically change the default titles, which are the file names (e.g., Track 02.WAV), to something I would like to see on a CD player that displays track titles. If I make one or a few CD’s at the time, with no intention of making any more, this process works pretty well.
But if a few months later I decide to make more CD’s, things don’t go so smoothly:
1. In the Edit View, I import all of the desired audio files (admittedly, not so hard).
2. I move the tracks into the CD Project View (getting a bit more time consuming).
3. I have to re-enter in CD Project View all of the track titles (this is a lot of typing, even if I remember the titles or saved them in some electronic format for review).
Is there a way to save my “project” so that my titles in the CD Project View are also saved? I have made a thorough search of the Audition help file to no real avail. I found the info on saving sessions, but after following the instructions for creating an .SES file, including selecting Save Copies of All Associated Files, I have made little progress. Opening the session in Multitrack View does open the proper tracks too, but the CD Project View is blank. So I am back to typing titles in CD Project View.
Any suggestions? I realize that I could rename the audio files to read like my desired CD track titles, but I would still be stuck with the .WAV (or whatever) file extensions. Is the current version of Audition more flexible in this regard than 1.5?
Thanks for any help.
