If I have BFD synth for drums and Amplutube synth for guitar. Once I have set I save to Sonar 5. Shouldnt Sonar save the synth settings? Seems I have to save in synth as preset and reload every time. Or is that just how it is? thanks

No, Sonar should save them. However, my recollection is that the preset names may not appear when you reload.

Is your trouble that Sonar is not actually saving the correct settings, or are you just looking for the "names" to appear?

In other words, do they actually not play when you reopen the project?

The trouble is that Sonar isn't saving the changes. The presets do actually save. But every time I go to project I have to go to each track and reset the presets.

I think you have missed what I said.

What I tried to say was that the preset NAMES will not appear. For example, if I put a reverb on the track, make some adjustments to it, and save that under the preset name, "Reverb Song 1," the name will stay in the reverb dialogue box until I save and exit the Sonar project. When I reload the project and open up the reverb, the name will no longer be in the dialogue box, BUT the settings themselves will all be the same as the last time I saved the song.

So if I had the reverb set to a predealy of 10ms and 50% wet, it will still be set that way. But the dialogue box will be blank.

It is normal that the preset name itself disappears. It is not normal that the actual settings disappear.

Is that clearer?

I think I get you. I thinks its just this Amplitube synth that seems to do it exactly the opposite. BFD is running like your describing. I'm going to contact them and see whats up with it. thanks
