Okay Mike, your version was really good too!
It's a really fine production, the standard of which I've just come to know as "Mike DiGangi/King Elvis".
Listening to these two covers, back to back, it shows a contrast of production styles, and resulting sound.
IMO, for what it's worth, Tukkis' version sounded more natural, acoustic, and had an 'airy' ambience. King E's version sounded a little more DI, overall.
Both tracks showcase some fine playing, and I basically give them both the thumbs up. It is interesting to listen to them, back to back, though, and they both sound really similar, and also different.
-Tukkis' production sounds more 'acoustic', and King E's sounds more DI.
-Tukkis' drum track sounds really live, and King E's sounds 'programmed', in contrast to the former.
-Tukkis and King E both have different qualities to their voices. Tukkis has a very soulful voice, especially for a 15 year old, and King E has a more 'straight' sounding vocal, that also has a bit more of a 'mature' sound to it.
>Both of these productions are really good.
>There's really nothing else I can say, except thanx, good job, both of you, and...
-Aaah bowakama pousse', pousse',...
-Aaah bowakama pousse', pousse',...
