Does anyone have any opinions about this reel to reel? I've been offered one and I don't know anything about it. Any input would help.

Sansui had a decent reputation for making amps and receivers in the 60's and 70's but never heard much of anything about their reel to reels?
I did a google search for pictures and couldn't anything more then a couple of really small images that looked a lot like the all the other consumer offerings of the day.
Parts, if needed would no doubt be difficult to impossible to find.
Bottom line; I wouldn't rush to buy one unless I was making a museum for forgotten jap-scrap!

I'm with you, unless I could get it for scrap price. I would at least have to see it operate. I found some info that said they made reel to reels only for two years, but it said they were real quality machines. Had one listed for $900.00 Maybe someone else could offer some input, too. Good info about the parts being hard to find.
