Hi. I've just purchased a pair of Samson C02 small diaphragm condensors for micing acoustic instruments, primarily acoustic guitar. Thus far I can only use 1 at a time as only my single channel preamp provides the necessary phantom power. I have so far figured out that the sound is best over the soundhole rather than the 13th fret, however I am as yet not quite satisfied with the sound. Anybody use these mics for the purpose? Any tips anyone can give would be greatly appreciated, on all matters from mic position to compression & EQ etc. Also if anyone has any tips for a cheap way of getting phantom power to my other mic, I'm all ears. My interface has inbuilt preamps but no phantom power.
