I just purchased Samplitude V8, and already have Sonar 5, both professional versions. I was wondering if anybody can tell me which program is better. I know it also depends on the user preferences, but yeah... I like what Sonar 5 has to offer, but haven't even cracked into Samplitude yet, maybe by tomarrow I'll try it out....

I use Sonar and love it probably because of the ease of use BUT I know some Professional recording engineers that have told me to learn how to use Samplitude and that it is so much better, could be just preference?I did however ask them if I could get the same sounding results w/Sonar and their response was absolutely.

Samplitude is a much better choice, IMHO.Between object based mixing (being able to apply any effect to any piece of audio non destructively), latency compensation for all plugins, and a few other things, Samp/Sequoia is phenomenal..

I just got finished reading a few articles on Samplitude, and everyone also says its one of the best out there... Now I know that Sonar 5 has, and I've included, a variety of effects/plug-in's. Does the majority of the plug-in's & effects capable of being used by Samplitude? I just opened up the program, and didn't find much effects (I will continue reading the manual all the way through).
