First off Wus up yall love the lil community you got. I been producing for a coo minute now but have been trying to get my sample up so im running vinyl straight through the mpc and i wanted to pose the question do i need anything outside of my turntable to record at good quality?? For instance a preamp, mixer; I currently use protools with interface so I wasnt sure if that would be good enough as i use that in place of a mixer for recording tracks.

i think it depends on what mpc model...I think the 4000 you run it staright in....i use a 3000 and I run it in a mixer wich amplifies the sound and then into the mp You dont need a dj mixer..any mixer will do...a lil cheapo or whatever

Preciate It Bra. Using A 2000xl Model But I Have An Interface For The Pro Tools As I Said Wasnt Sure If That Might Work If Anyone Knows Lemme Knw

Does the mpc adjust for RIAA eq? If it doesn't you might want to get a phono preamp.
