sampling formats

i want to use gigastudio or unity ds-1, and i'd like to know what kind of samples are compatible, and if i may use something like akai cds with them? i've heard about a akai converter software for other samplers or something like that.

Check out the gigasampler web site for file compatability. Almost everyone reads Akai samples. There is also a MIDI sample dump standard that most samplers can use for transferring samples.
