Samples?

Hey peeps,

Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I was wondering if anyone knows of any good websites to get samples/sound effects from?

Im working on a project and need a few sound effects, for example: the sound of fire, and a fire engine (preferably a british one). havn't really been able to find anything of much use.

You could try the local library. If they're anything like the ones down these parts, they should have CDs and among them, you might find a few sound effects ones. That's what I used to do. It's kind of hard to find tigers roaming the streets of Kingsbury and I'm not so sure I'd want to get too close to one with a dictaphone if I did!
