Heya guys.

I have;

Edirol UA-22 2 channel USB Recorder
Samson C01 Condensor
PC with ACID, Vegas, SoundForge, etc

I have a demo CD out at the moment, just a cover demo, to start getting some gigs at pubs and stuff. Here is a track from that CD;

Just wondering what you guys think of this sample from my CD.

I'd love every kind of criticism, so don't hold back.

The song is Red Hot Chilli Peppers - My Friends. The recording was done entirely in my own home studio, and i didn't add compressors, or anything to any tracks. What you are hearing is the raw recording + effects.

My website, for anyone interested, is http://www.yagz.com/

Cheers guys,

Sounds pretty darn good to me! If I had a pub, I'd hire you today.....

Nice!

I agree. Nice clear recording with careful use of effects. I would only try to warm it up a little as it seemed (on my speakers) to lean towards the mid to upper ranges for most of the sound energy. But this is a nit pick for the purposes you are using the CD for. One simple thing might be to just warm it up with a tool like Empiracal Labs Fatso or PSP VintageWarmer.
