I've been recording most of my tracks with a sample rate of 44,100hz. (Mainly because I've got a slower computer and don't want to eat up processing time).

Are there any problems I'll encounter besides slight loss in quality?(i still am not able to hear much of a difference, can you?)
What specific benefits do you get from recording at higher sampling rates?

Thanks.

It's probably not going to be a HUGE issue unless you do a lot of processing to the track.

Most people record at 44.1khz. It's the wordlength that is more important.

16bit is CD quality and it is okay. 24bit has a greater dynamic range and lower noise floor. 24bit files also handle digital processing better.

www.digido.com has some good articles on digital audio.
