Hey guys if you have the time perhaps you can do me a favor.
I'd like to get some comments on my sound quality and what
you guys think I should do better.

I'm using EMU 1820 soundcard with an MXL 2003 MIC and besides that no
outboard equipment whatsoever except for my midi keyboard. I use Nuendo & Reason. And plugins such as Absynth 2.0 Waves 10band equalizer. Tracks at the end for mastering. Sonitus Compressor which can be found in sonar. Sonitus delay. Steinberg's Reverb A.
And thats pretty much the core of it all.
My mix sounds good by itself. Until i compare it to anything on mtv.
Then mine seems dark. or rough..sharp....just not the same.
Buy better equipment? Send the mix to a mastering studio? Mix better?
Or realize that home recording will only produce demo's but no singles?
