Same Story

Doing a project for a guy, protypical wannbe rapper, wants to sound just like the guy that sings the song. This guy doesn't really sound at all like the origional, but told me to just "work my magic" and get it to sound right. I need to get it a little lower, and add a whole bunch of grit. Any suggestions?

first this guy needs to rap on beat. he is slightly off bar to begin with. plus his voice doesnt suit the way he raps. really needs to adapt his voice to the track and put some feeling to the track. he is rapping with an emptyness to it. put some emotion and effort.. flow with the beat!
