Does anyone know what kind of guitar Sam Beam from Iron and Wine uses?

I know the band, but not the guitar... very little info on the net

Try asking here:

My friend runs that fansite, and I think that someone asked that question there recently. Good luck!

Anybody that likes roots-type music, give Iron & Wine a look. Beam is a great songwriter and he has a great voice for his style. You won't regret it!

He plays mostly Taylors live, but I wasn't close enough to see which models. Great stuff!

hi..

he has a cutaway (horrible) taylor that he supposedly picked out from a dumpster (his words) but read: pawn shop (more likely). Got it setup and thats what he uses live now. His recordings were either done with that or with something even more horrible and thin sounding than taylors ;) but i guess anything sounds better than taylors anyway so..

anyway, his tone is much more on the fingerpicking technique that lets out the organic part a bit more cause he doesnt use a pick, mic technique, and on the first record and first ep, as you may know: a tascam or fostex 4 track.
