I just purchased a demo model LX20 with only 18 hours on it
for $650.00 (They wanted $750.00 but I flashed the money in their collective faces). They have several more if you're interested. Ph# is 212-719-2299.Extremely LOW hours!
They also threw in a free Quantegy tape!(After I begged!)
 
Will they tell ya how many head hrs over the phone MrQ? That sounds like a pretty sweet deal.
 
I don't know if they tell you over the phone, but if you're
interested, I can walk over there 2-morrow and inquire.
 
I'd like to know exactly how many hours, and is there any warranty? Or are they just sold as is?

Dom, they had 3 left,store demo models each with between 10 and 22 hours on them! Sammy's provides an 90 day in-store warranty along with the Alesis warranty. Like you're buying them brand-new except w/o the carton or box.
You do recieve your warranty and registration cards,instruction booklets and an optical cable.
Unfortunately,you don't get a LRC!
 
Also, not as sweet, but mars music has adat XT20 for $1399 new. Musicians friend has them for $1799
 
I would also like to add that Sammy's is sellin' XT20's,
(store demos,not prev owned) @ $1250,4 left,(there were 5 but I bought 1 for &$1180.00 with 14 head-hours). The other 4,are between 12-24 hours on 'em.
With Sammy's demo's, they advertise a certain price but
if you show up with,say $1100 and say thats all you have,they will most definitely make a sale!

Thanks for the info on the demos ... but my money situation won't cover the cost now ... even at those great prices. :(
 
I now have 2 XT's and 2 LX's. But So far I just record on 1 XT and slave 1 LX. But now my problem now is I have to buy a bigger board, A BRC, more cables,more power strips, patchbays, etc. etc.
Whenever i see a great deal,I purchase gear without thinking of additional components that are needed.
That is why I TRULY suffer from Gear Addiction Syndrome! G.A.S. for short!
