Hello!

I have a few questions. I had used Logic Pro to write Orchestral Compositions in the past. I used EastWest soundfonts which were channeled by Kontakt and I loved the ability to select multiple channels within a single track with Logic. With that being said. I am not sure what PC softwares are available to accomplish the same thing. To better explain:

Cello: Single Track running Kontakt
Channel 1 = Legato
Channel 2 = Staccato
Etc...

In Logic under the Bin Panel I was able to select a single note and change that channel from the default of 1 to any channel required to achieve the desired sound. Which made the amount of tracks for my Large Orchestral Compositions about 30 tracks instead of over 100. Apple's Documentation on the Bin settings was very limited.

I am wanting to find a software on PC that can acheive the same without me having to make over 100 tracks to accommodate the overall compass of techniques and sounds with all the Orchestral instruments.

Thanks!

Studio One v2.0 has channel options for each track and they have a free version. Might try it and see if it suits your purposes. Cheers.

Try REAPER too. Studio One is a worthy product, but you'll probably find sucess in the first few minutes with Reaper. They have a plug in that sounds like a much easier to use version of the software you're missing from the Mac world. And they now have a Mac version available too!

Thanks triquee and ssscientist for your suggestions. Studio One v2.0 has so many similarities to Logic Pro 9 as far as layout but I will try it out and see if it fits the criteria I have listed. Reaper sounds great also due to the fact the company itself works hard to make sure they have a bug free program. It's a toss up. I'll give both a shot. Thanks again.
