S4 and UAD-1

I'm using Sonar4 and am considering getting a UAD-1 card. Any horrible issues trying to run the two together? I've been reading about concerns with delay compensation...is this something to worry about?

I use Sonar 4 and UAD-1 Ultra Pk flawlessly. I absolutely love it.
 
I use Sonar 4 with 2 UAD-1....no problem (exept the known loop bug)
 
Am I right in saying that you need to run the VST versions, not the DXi ones?

I'm using the DX version....but have read that the VST version should be better....but as I said before, I don't have any problems exept the known one...:-)

:-).... You only have to put it in the computer when she's out shoping...she will never find out anything....trust me!

Yup, easiest studio upgrades is to the inside of the computer. She'll never know.

I've also had no problems with that combinations,and I to use the DX version
 
Well, yesterday I picked up a UAD-1. It was pretty frustrating for a few hours as it was doing the crackle and pop thing. I was on the phone with UA tech support for a long time...the tech support is great, but we were unable to find a conclusive answer to the problem. We tried a different pci slot, many different adjustments with possible software and hardware conflicts, and still the problem wasn't fixed.
So, ready to just return the darn thing, I decided to try one last thing...moving other pci cards around to different slots. It was a pain, but dagnabbit, it worked! Whatever was causing the conflict resolved itself and now the UAD-1 is working as it should (as far as I can tell).
Anyway, the plugs sound fantastic and they are a welcome treat. It was just a lot of work to get there!

Good to hear it worked out dude.

I've got Sonar 4 and a UAD card coming in the mail in a day or two. I was a little worried about compatibility but it sounds like it's a workable issue.
