Djembes Rock
I'm having trouble installing the S3 patch. Once the install wizard starts a message comes up saying that Sonar3 is not installed properly. I find that hard to believe.
Here is the advice that Cakewalk Support offered:
1. Choose Start | Run and enter regedit
2. Hit the plus next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
3. Hit the plus next to Software
4. Hit the plus next to Cakewalk Music Software
5. Hit the plus next to SONAR Producer
6. Highlight the 3.0 folder
7. On the right side, right click on Install Directory and enter the
proper path to your Cakewalk exe file.
If you have Cakewalk installed into a root directory like E:/ and not
in a folder, then you will need to re-install it into a folder.
After doing this, the result is the same. So, I'm wondering about step 7...the patch name has an underscore in it. Do you actually type in an underscore, or is that a space?
Any wisdom would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Terry
p.s. I remember the 2.2 patch...it installed perfectly with the Install Wizard. The average user (myself) is uncomfortable editing the registry.
