Can anybody help me?

I have a version of NI Reaktor softsynth (ver 2.05).

The thing is I don't have any manuals with it. Is there any sites where I can get manuals, .pdfs or tutorials to download. I used to own a MiniMoog and a Moog Prodigy some 20yrs ago but they both got stolen(Hmmmm!).

The Reaktor is fairly user friendlly but there are a couple of things I would like to be sure about.

1.How can I convert my doodlings to .wav file format or any format for use with Soundforge 4.5 & Acid Pro 2.0?

2.If I leave Reaktor on screen for any length of time without touch it the pc hangs so I have to alt ctrl del that window and start over(pain!!!) How can solve this?

if anybody could help that would be mental!

This should probably be inthe Tech Thready bit!

cheers

alt.binaries.sounds.utilities newsgroup has a pdf posting for the Reaktor manual. It was posted 3/20/02 it is in 4 rar files totaling 18.5 megs in size. Just pay no attention to all the other goodies posted there as well. *chuckles*

This requires you to have some knowledge of Usenet Newsgroups (one of the oldest parts of the internet). You will need a newsgroup reader (either use the outlook newsreader or download one of the binary specific ones like Binary News Reader, highly recomended) and then go to your ISP's newsgroups. Look for the alt.binaries.sound.utilities group and then get "all headers". This is a very busy group so there will be thousands of headers downloaded. Look sort by date (3/20/02) and then look in the subjects for reaktor manual. Also try a search.

IF your ISP does not carry all the articles (which is most likely the case) for this newsgroup then you will need to subscribe to a fee based group. I use EasyNews or GiggaNews is another big one. they charge $10 per month for like 6 gigs of downloads.

ALso keep in mind that alot of the multimedia files are compressed using RAR format. Use Winrar for decompress and reconstruct.

You might ask "why go to the effort"? Um just browse the sound.utilities group and you'll see what I mean. And then search for newsgroup names with the word "sample" in it and you will find the holy grail of sounds. Wear a diaper when you do this for you will fill you shorts.

ANyway there is a lot of referance material out there in the newsgroups so start digging.
