hey...I was wondering if any of you knew how to clean and get rid of rust on pickups...also the screws holding my pickguard to my guitar and the pickups to the pickguard are rusted...do I need to totally disassemble my guitar and clean each screw? and then, what do I do about the pickups? thank you...

Hi Brandon
Use a light oil , #00 steel wool and a COTTON cloth (old tee shirt). Put oil on the rust and let sit a few minutes to loosen the flakes.Rub the rust loose with the steel wool and wipe up with the cloth.

Place some silica packs( you know the things that look like salt packs and say do not eat on them) in you guitar case and change them out every month or so. Try to get in the habit of keeping the case closed. This will help keep moisture and humidity out of the case.

Don't waste your time, replace them with stainless steel screws.
