Trump is right...a LOT of views CHANGE when you have KIDS!!! I've got kids ranging from 3 - 8. I'll let them hear my music, but ONLY after I've edited it. I'll burn them CDs of rap music, but I'll download the radio friendly cuts of it.

I agree that the kids need a little dose of reality. Sheltered kids usually wind up learning about life the hard way. They wind up getting into bad situations unknowingly until it's too late. I know, I was one of them up until about 12 or 13. But that doesn't mean we glamorize it constantly. But we do. People like to brag about how they "made it". That's the way for a lot of folks, especially folks who are used to not havin shit. They like to brag about being on the "other side of the fence" and floss what they got. The only difference is being emcees, now they're flossing what they have on the legit tip.

Fiev.

Okay I'll give y'all a perfect example of what I'm saying about the influence of hip hop. From about 90 to about 94 Westcoast gangsta rap was really popular.NWA,Spice One,MC Eiht,Ice Cube, and others were getting alot of air play.It set the tone for those few years .There was some much weed smoking,40 drinking, and gang bangin going on.I lost a lot of friends because kids out here were trying to live out these songs.I was lucky to get away with it clean but I did bang and get shot at a few times. I smoked and drank and didnt even graduate high school yet. The music sets the tone for what these kids will follow. The values of these few were soaked up by kids across the world. Then we started getting tired of the killing and moved on to something else.It may not be exactly the same but its still damaging in some kind of way.Its what makes it appealing.Everybody want to be the bad guy. Some of theses women always talking bout they love bad boys.Alot of this stuff is about impressing women.Women got to act the part if they want respect also. We know the difference when we calling out the H word. These little girls think we talking bout them.I'm done with this cus I'm rambling now.

No I don't think it's crazy. I actually applaud Em for having the balls to say it when he's in the category of RICH and by the most part would benefit. Actually, even some of the people he's dissed before like Moby even gave him props for that. You know you did something right when people who used to diss you now show you respect. I've said worse in rhymes about Bush (just voicing my own opinion) and funny ones about Clinton (I miss him in office damn it).

Anyway, no that wasn't crazy....what he said in "We As Americans" was crazy but I felt what he was saying though...

"I don't rap for dead presidents - I'd rather see the President dead/ It's never been said but I set precedents"

i love that song..you got the In The Lab EP? those tracks shoulda came out on Encore

Bottom line up front ..RAISE YO OWN DAM KIDS... If we as people stopp expecting somebody else to be that role model and make ourselves so much a part of our kids life that we become there role models it wont matter what they hear in a song. Yes I know it takes a village to raise a child but as a parent these days you have to choose the village. surround them with images of hope. I came up hard like every body else in here but my moms and pops made sure I was exposed to other stuff to know the world is bigger than our block. we hopped busses and went to other parts of the city and when i was lil that was like leaving the country. Basically TAKE YO KIDS BACK FROM THE WORLD.......but know they gone mess up.
