I really wanted to get my daughter and her boyfriend to sing this as a duet. But his voice is shot. So I did it. I got to use my new Blue Bird mic. I won it through a sweepstake at Sweetwater. I like it alot. My voice (though crap) stands out alot better. I teaching my self piano (at a snails pace) so I threw in some piano to keep it true to the original. Im sloppy at times, so its rough. Here is a link to the tune. Hope you enjoy it. http://www.soundclick.com/util/getplayer.m3u?id=7137422&q=hi

Here is a pic of the mic. Isnt it purdy.

Depends on whos cover you listen too. :) I based mine on Chuck Berrys' tune. But the hi-hat beat on the original is extremely fast and I cant do a fast hi-hat and keep the kick and snare going too. Im not a good drummer. I guess I could have overdubbed the hi-hat beat to give it a quicker feel.

Pretty cool. Does seem a little slow. But still cool.

Thanks bigbubba. Sometimes Im slow in general :) , so my wife says when I play dumb about doing laundrey :) "I just dont understand honey, you have to seperate stuff ?"

Well only mentioned the slow tempo 'coz someone else mentioned it too. Just so you get the picture of how the listener hears the song. :D.

Certain things like laundry warrant situation where we should play slow. Who wants to spend time in front of the washer dryer?

Hey Bush!
Nice rendition of a classic! :D
Really like the guitar sound. And the piano sounds great. Well sung and recorded.
And that blue bird is so sweet....congrats!

Joe :)

Thanks Joe. The mic is pretty cool. They say its a great all around mic. Its built pretty tuff, but Id hate to use it on a guitar amp. I usually use a Shure 57 on them. You can throw them around. The Blue Bird is too pretty for that.
