Hi all,

somebody read the following post somewhere:

"just heard the worst news today guys, and I hope its not true. The worst part of all this is, that it came from a reliable source!! I just heard that the NorthEast rep from steinberg USA has quit from Steinberg after he himself heard rumors that it was being sold. The worst part of all this is that, DIGIDESIGN (a.k.a. PRO-TOOLS) is gonna be the buyer. This could only mean that they would probably get rid of cubase. Lord knows that I wish that I truely wish that this is not the case. I will do some more checking and possibly speak to the north east rep myself....I know him personally. If anyone hears anything about this....plz let us all know. Sorry that I had to be the one to break it to you guys first. I will keep you guys updated."

Anyone else heared that rumour?

Btw, I think the poster is wrong with his 'they'll dump Cubase' scenario:).

If this is true, I'd think Nuendo would be the one getting the boot since Nuendo is direct competition to Pro Tools.

Cubase would probably become the new LE which would be good IMO, I don't use either so I don't really care either way though... :D

LOL after taking over m-audio...this is just what the world needs another tyranical dictator...I think I'll stop eating pork chops and drinking alcohol and have a digidesign jihad.

It would be nice if they made Nuendo compatible with Pro Tools. But they will prob. just shank it even though it is far superior.

here we go :(

Anywayy, I think it's a bunch of crap, I've heared it nowhere else so I have my doubts it is true.
