Do rugs on the walls work well for sound treatment in a 12 X 15 room?
Is it necessary to cover the whole wall?

No. Problem solved. No rugs on walls. All they do is suck up high frequencies and don't absorb any lows. End of story. And they are a fire hazard. Lock this thread now.

Agreed. All rugs will do is skew the response. Go for a balanced approach and don't forget the bottom end control.

Thanks for the responses, that will save alot.

Bass traps, bass traps and more bass traps.

You have a rep power of 214? That must not be from the studio construction forum.

Maybe Drugs will help you think things sound better, but not Rugs :)

Take it from sonic clang. He knows his stuff. I am waiting for "The Making of Sonic Clang's studio. Episode 4760203." I heard he actually puts some gear in there. :D
