HANDS OFF!

(my favorite anyway)

Rory was the first guy to make playing a Tele look cool to me. And then I discovered Roy Buchannon, and on and on...

In high school ('72-'75) I grew Rory sideburns. I went back and forth between Rory's and Duane Allman's.

At any rate, welcome to Rory appreciation society. Glad you could make it.

Unsung guitar heroes

Bill Nelson from Be Bop Deluxe...Now there's an unsung guitar hero!

Great band. Man that is a blast from the past, saw them supporting Graham Parker and the Rumour back in the 70's. Should have been the other way round.

Harmonic convergence?

The new Guitar Player has a long piece on Mr Gallagher.

well i woud hope, it was his birthday on sunday, i'll have to pick up that issue, I've been a fan for about four years, a smoking buddy turned me onto him.

re ry cooder

We are in agreement.

awe man, ry cooder is on so much good stuff, anyone ever seen "performance" w/mic jagger and the french lady whose name escapes me right now.
Rising Sons was also so very great, and his work on safe as milk was grand. i've listened to a little bit of his solo stuff, it has a very distinct flavour.
