room revamp

is room treatment just as important for recording as it is for your mixing room?...i cleaned out the basement the other day and im going to post some pictures of what ive got to work with...this will be a total revamping of a room.

Sure it is but the goals are different. In a CR you are looking for neutrality but in a tracking room you can be a bit more creative. Your goal is just to make it sound good. Neutrality works but sometimes having a bit of room character can be a good thing. Versatility is good. You can use baffles to help isolate sources when you need a really dry sound.
