***ROLAND XP30 problem with channel 16***

I am using Logic 5 on a pc. I use a roland xp30 with it which I love to bits. I am obviously using it in perform mode for the 16 parts. However when I click on the 16th channel it resets the synth back to layer mode rather than the proper part mode. If any body knows why this is that would be great, it must be logic triggering it or a setup thing in the xp30.

What do you mean when you click on 16? Is that when you choose it in a software sequencer or on the keyboard?

16 is probably setup as the global channel for overall control. You probably have to some channel as the global but usually you can filter out certain types of midi messages.
 
Thanks I seem to have fixed it now, it was to do with the control channel being 16.
