roland xp-10

I would very much appreciate anyone who can tell me how to switch a roland part to drums. Right now I can only do drums on part 10 but I know that you can choose another part, I just dont know how.

I've had some roland keys...and still do. I believe the drum part is ALWAYS part 10, and cannot be changed... If I'm wrong, I'd like to know about it.

man I found it.

for future reference:

hit edit
hit value + till you see perform part
hit control(9) till you see TONE TYPE
hit plus to select tone, drum1 or drum2

now If I could figure a way to save it so that my drums are permanently on 10 and 11 on startup

well, I found that too. Just set it the way you want it and click utility. Scroll till you see write perform. Voila

I have had it for a few months but have never used its sounds. My jv1010 sounds better. I only use it as a controller.

I want to use it now cos it has an 808 kit that is not on the jv1010. I think there is also a 909 kit and a dance kit that are absent from the jv1010

Did you go through the Session Expansion drum kits? I have the XP30 and there are quite a few additional drum kits that belong to the Session board.

I have the expansion drumkit. you know whats funny? I only use the drums on the expansion. The others are quite bad imho.

I only use 2 on the expansion. 4 and 5. They are good, but not exactly what I am looking for. the 808 is what I am looking for.
