Probably right about in that price range yes. You may be able to nab one for slightly less ($650) on E-bay, but then you have the anxeity of waiting to be outbid or not being positive of the condition. If you are looking into the 880ex be sure of the specs. Make certain it is a real ex and not simply an upgraded 880 thats pretending to be an ex. The standard 880 has 4 inputs, the 880ex has 6. Also if you are paying the $750 I would assume it has the vs effects card inside it. So verify the specs of the unit you are grabbing.

For the record if it's an 880EX it has to have the FX installed. They all came that way from the factory.I have one and have not had any problems but some say that the jog wheel starts toget flaky after a bunch of hours of use,so try to find out how many miles the thing has on it if it's used.

Yo moving in the mains:

Why bother with the 880? It's history. Save your pezzutos and buy the 890. Sounds like a great box with 24 bit sound and all the other stuff you'd want.

Do I have one? No, not yet but I'm thinking about it.

But, if you're on a budget, you do what you need to do.
