Halo !

I recently bought the well-known roland vs 880 vxpanded (with good onboard fx) with internal 540Mb hard drive and 25 SCSI 100Mb Zip. I know it has done the job for many and many users but now I am wondering about to resell it to buy a new tascam 788 (at the same price) which is a more recent tool, looks more user-friendly and has a 7Gb hard disk. I am not sure about that deal as I did not test the tascam and don't know about the possibilities , fx, solid-building,... regarding to the vs. thanks for any opinion

Yo NOT BABY BUT ADULT?:]

If you want to swap your Roland for a Tascam, you might be able to work a minimal deal with a vendor. I once traded in a unit for a new unit with a "major" vendor after talking to the President of the Company. He called me after I complained that the rep would not honor a previously quoted price. I made out fine.

But, used stuff is used stuff; I have a basement full of used gear. Technology moves so fast in many areas of recording; thus, used gear doesn't command a big price.

But, in your country, as in mine, it doesn't hurt to ask. Here, we call the 800 numbers; I am sure you can do the same in your country.

Or, you could consult with Hercule Poirot?
