I have recently starting playing keyboard and because I play rythum, bass and lead guitar also I would like to record some songs Ive wrote. I dont have any experience in recording. Can somebody point me in the right direction. I was considering buying the roland vs1880. Should I start with something a bit more basic? Should I buy a computer package? I would like to be able to record the tracks eventually onto CD. Is there any machine that will do all this for me, bearing in mind my budget is small. Any help or advice anyone could give me would be hugely appreciated.

well i would say get a small two channel interface for your computer...(if you jump right into things like this then the 1880 is prolly got a big learning curve that will most likley frustrate the hell out of you)...so i say go with something easy into the computer and make sure you get something with a software with it (most of it comes with cubase le) and then i say read the manuals...(thats nerdy but the best way to get yourself of the ground)
then make music and enjoy
