Roland VM3100 Pro with Cubase VST 32 5.0

Hi I have a Roland VM3100 Pro and Cubase VST 32 5.0 Mac and I can't figure out how to use it to control Cubase or as a control surface with Cubase. Can anyone help me with this? It is supposed to work with Cubase.
