How dose it handle with dfh?
And.................

I've been trying to fined some info about the hi-hat control pedal (fd 8) and all i can fined is "Thanks to Roland’s new FD-8 Hi-Hat Controller, drummers can get more realistic hi-hat sounds with smooth transitions between open and closed" but it dose'nt conferm that it is'nt just an on off swich! dose anyone know?

DEFINITELY not just an on/off switch...

There are some settings (in the TD8 & 10) which allow you to 'tune' the drum sounds... some Timpani and African drum sounds, using your hi hat pedal (FD-8 or FD-7).

I'm not sure if a 'stock' on/off switch would work properly, but it seems to me I've heard of folks using a keyboard sustain switch for their hi-hat sounds... Don't quote me on that tho...
