Roland R-70 - was this a bad buy?

Hi,

I paid $600.00 (US) for a Roland R-70 drum machine 2 days ago. Now I see from reviews on the web that it was made in 1992.

Did I pay too much?

Thanks Altitude - It will be very uncomfortable since I buy a lot of stuff from them, but I'm taking it back. It must be old stock.
 
Its actually a pretty well rated drum machine for rock/jazz/etc but not dance. I would look for a used one if those styles fit. If your looking for something modern, DR880 seems to be well liked
 
Yeah - thanks again - what really turns me off is that the technology is now 13 years old. With the way things change with digital electronics it seems that there must be something much better (or equally as good) at a lower price.

I can get that DR880 on Musician's Friend for $500.00.
