hi,

I just got a roland mc303 groove box in a trade, and I don't really know what to do with it.

Has anybody used it, and do you like it?

How do you get the most out of it.

If I don't get the hang of it, I will probably just sell it for about $200, so if you are interested let me know.

thanks

I have one, I use it a lot, and the only things I don't like about it is that the sounds are to "Rolandy", and nice, and that there is no external device to save on (lika a floppy).

To get the most out of it, read the manual. It has the wonderful "TR" type of drum pattern programming used by the TR-808, 909, 707 and 727, which is dead easy to use.

yo thanks regebro,

that's good news.

I WILL now read the manual.

Hey, apart from drum programming, do you use it for anything else?

thanks

Yup, Since it's so small I took it home and arranged several songs with only the MC-303. On http://www.buroklok.com/ you may find some mp3's (if the site is working). All the electronics on those recordings (1-2 years old) are an MC-303.

After I did these recordings I've bought an 8-track, a Nord Modular, a good preamp and good monitors, and was set to re-record things, when the MC-303 lost all it's memory (my fault I think). So try to make backups if you can.
