I'm interested in getting an entry level keyboard amp like the Roland KC-60 (http://www.roland.com/products/en/KC-60/specs.html)
as I'm not satisfied with my keyboard's built-in speakers.

Roland's site doesn't specify the frequency range of the speaker. (A 10" speaker should be able to go pretty low if its like home audio). For anyone that owns a KC-60, how low does it go before losing fidelity and amplitude either in terms of Hz or piano notes?

I've been using my hifi (which goes down to 28Hz +/- 3dB) but would rather have a separate system which is more mobile.

Overall how is the KC-60? Would you recommend it? Is another sub-$300 keyboard amp you would suggest instead?

thanks

I've seen "slightly" used Peavey active 15" PA speakers for less than $300. They aren't advertised as keyboard amps, but the one time I heard one I was very impressed. Lots and lots of power and a low down to about 50 Hz, perhaps a little lower.
