I Love
my JV 1010, great little sound module. For the
price, it is the best value on the planet, and Roland is
well aware of that, they sell them by the Truckloads.
I only use mine in my studio, and I am a violinist, not
a keyboardist. I only use the JV1-1010 with a computer.
If you are playing gigs where you need to call up
different patches fast, I implore you, the JV-1010
is a bad choice. Even Roland admits that the JV 1010
was designed for computer use.
I am sure it could work live, just make sure nobody
bumps it, because the writing on the front is so
small that you might have it set up for the big piano
solo, and it might be odd when you hear the GM
Applause come out your monitors ( Well, Applause
is always welcomed, imagine you playing the Piano
solo with the Bird Cheeps coming through)!!
JV -1010 is a killer synth for the price, I wouldnt have
the guts to rely on it live, so I give it a no vote for
live use.
