Hi kids,

is there any way to make the output of the JV-1010 LOUDER? It's been driving me nuts for all these years, it finally occurred to me to at least ask.

I have never messed with sound diver, actually never done anything with the 1010 except play presets. It's output is pathetic, and I dont want to get my mixer out of storage just to increase the gain.

Anybody? Anybody? Bueller? Bueller? :p

Preamps, baby.

You can prolly mess with that stuff in soundiver. I messed around with sd years ago when I got this little box. It works pretty well but I can't remember if you can save patches you write with it.

Find a way to send it continuous controller 7, which is midi master volume. If you have any type of master keyboard around you'll probably be able to coax controlller 7 out of it.

This may help, and it's a good thing to have around anyway - a shareware utility program called midi-ox.

You'll probably find that cc 7 was turned down at some point and never brought back up again...

Thanks fellers, I will look at the midi utility in the a.m.

After looking on the net, it appears that the unit is notorious for a low output. I have a mixer but space is at a premium in my townhouse, I guess I will have to pull it out again. I will try the midi utility and sound diver first, but this 1010 has never been messed with and the keyboard is functioning correctly. My Alesis module is twice as loud as the Roland.
