It all depends on your budget!!
I own Event 20/20's direct-fields and provide excellent referencing of one's materials. I also use Tannoy Proto J's nearfield for backup referencing. The Tannoys @ $159 is bargain
and render excellent flat freq response for monitoring.
The Event (passive version) sell street @ $275.00.
I haven't heard the Behringers yet but have heard from others sing their praises and at $399 is a great bargain!
These are only MY opinions. I suggest you take a c/d of music with you to music store and audition each monitor you are interested in and let your EARS make that final decision!
