Rogue LX405 5 Sting Bass or Ibanez SR405?

I am looking for something effective yet inexepensive to go down to A with. I read good reviews on the Rogue LX405 Bass and it is only 180 at musiciansfriend. For a bit more I could go used and get an Ibanez SR405 on eBay, maybe even a SR505... Any thoughts or suggestions?

everyone disses rogues but you can try get the rogue and return it if it's a piece of junk. the new rogue stuff looks pretty nice though.

the ibanez is still probably a better bass but who knows?

Get a Cort Curbow 5 string.. they're about 350 used.. VERY nice basses though.. good electronics and such.. I own one

rogue lx405

i own the cort curbow 5 it is a wonderful bass bought mine the first year they made them so it has some scratches from the guitar stand and i'm going to purchase the rogue LX405 i have a rogue 4 string fretless and it is just awesome. from all the reviews i've read of the 405 it should be just as good.
