Hi Guys,

Basically, since I was a child, I have an interest of playing guitar, keyboard and singing. Nowadays, I want
to make some covers for youtube in my channel. So I have been searching about a good studio microphone and the things that I need to connect it with computer. I wanted to have some recommendations about the
RODE NT2A and The Fast Track Pro (or whatever). And also, I want to get Axiom 49 to play instruments
(drums, violins, cello, keyboard) and stuff. So I am confused about how to connect the mic for computer
how to connect the Axiom 49 and how to use it. I am using Logic Pro 9. I want to have reccomendations.
Thanks a lot for everyone !

There are bucketloads of noob guides on here that you would probably take a lot away from.

In it's simplest for though, a mic needs a preamp and then conversion to digital format to be recorded onto a computer.

An interface like maudio fast track pro will have a preamp and digital conversion built into it, so....

You plug the fast track into the pc via usb connector (or firewire? can't remember), and you plug the mic into the fast track via XLR-XlR cable.

That mic needs phantom power which the interface can provide, so look for the switch and make sure it's turned on.
It might be labelled 48v or similar.

Axiom 49 is a usb keyboard, so it couldn't be easier. Just plug it into your computer.

That kind of keyboard is really a controller. IE it doesn't output sound, but rather a sequence of commands which a virtual instrument will interpret and use to create sound.

You'll need a track in logic with a virtual instrument such as a synth or whatever. Then you select the keyboard as your input to that track.

There's obviously more to it, but I'm not a logic user so have a play and if you're stuck come back with specific questions.

Hope that's useful.

Spamming the boards isn't the way to get an answer.

You'll probably have better luck putting up one thread per question.
