Rode microphones = Awesome customer service

I had a matched pair of NT5's that were about 6 or 7 years old. I called 'em up and asked how much it would cost to fix one them that suddenly lost its output.

They said "Send it in!"
I said "It's not covered under warranty anymore, how much is it gonna cost?"
They said "No worries matey, send it to our office in California, you'll be taken care of!"

They gave me an RA#, I sent them, and in about 2 weeks I had a brand new matched pair set of NT5's, at no cost to me except $5 shipping.

I love Rode mics, but I really love good customer service!!!!

Good to hear!!! and I'm glad they did that for you! I have owned a NT2 and a K2 and thought they were both good mics!!!

This is a customer service story that a lot of businesses could learn something from. Congrats, to both you and Rode Mics. Make me even more proud to own a K2, NT2000, and a matched pair of NT5s.
 
I am new to Rode mics, but just picked up an NT2. I am VERY impressed with it, especially it's clarity.

I agree that businesses could learn a lot from their customer service.
I work at an electronics store, and the owner is a very nice, helpful, talkative guy who will ALWAYS let you return something, even if you have no reciept and it's 2 months after the purchase. Because of his honest and helpful service/personality, he has loads and loads of very loyal customers.
