I'm sure theres a similar thread on here somewhere but I wanted to see if I could get some input on a certain subject. I bought a Rode K2 a couple of months ago and have even upgraded the tubes with the help from kidvybes. Before, I was using a Shure SM-58 to record my vocal tracks and all of our recordings sounded great, so I thought that adding a condencer would make it that much better. For some reason tho, the vocals just sound distant or not right now. I don't think it's a problem with the mic because I recorded some stuff for a friend and it sounded great, so maybe it's just our style? We play rockish/raggae with more hip hop type rhythmic vocals. Is there another condencer in this price range that may work better for me? Thanks :)
