Hi Folks,

I asked this a while back - but didn't get any response - so I'll give it another try :-)

Is anyone out there using the new Replitone MP Modelling pre amp???

I've heard/read some good reviews...and they all seem to say that it's much better than the Line 6 POD Pro....and at $350 USD almost half the price.

None of the main music stores carry it here in Toronto, so I haven't been able to demo it - yet.

Any feedback would be much appreciated...

"Cheers"

sorry kev i have not tryed this yet, just thought i would bump your post back to the top for ya,but i will say this, all the rocktron stuff i have ever owned was great. they had some realy good stuff, maybe if you go to there website you can stream some of the sounds from it. i know its not the same as playing with it but itll give some kinda idea, and i would read up on reviews and things like that, usually they have a few user reviews at www.musiciansfriend.com and they also have sound files from what your looking at to. good luck to you and if all else fails by a j station i love mine and only 149 bucks. tim pate

Hi Flash,

Thanx for the response - yeah, I've heard it's great gear but never used it myself - yet, that may change tho :-)

Nobody here in Toronto carries the Replitone MP (at the moment) so - looks like I'm gonna have to wait to demo it. :-(

I've used the Digitech Genesis 3 for a while, but really didn't like the 'overly-processed' rock tones. Even with a ton of tweaking that unit, everything still ended up sounding like Billy Gibbons - too raspy. The "clean" tones were good tho.

Yeah, I checked out the Rocktron website and listened to the few demo sounds, etc - although, it's hard to make an accurate judgement on streaming audio files...

Cheers mate,

KEV
